Vlissingen, September 29, 2025 – Today, Medisol turns red in recognition of Dress Red Day, a national awareness day highlighting cardiovascular disease in women. The Medisol team is wearing red to draw attention to this important issue and to show solidarity with all women affected by heart problems.
Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death among women worldwide. Yet, symptoms in women are often recognized later or misinterpreted. Dress Red Day, an initiative of the Dutch Heart Foundation, raises awareness of the differences in symptoms, treatment, and prevention for women.
Cardiovascular disease: often underestimated in women
“At Medisol, our daily mission is to save lives with our AEDs and resuscitation products,” says a company spokesperson. “On a day like today, we emphasize the crucial importance of awareness. Women experience different warning signs of heart problems compared to men. By opening up the conversation, we can ensure quicker intervention.”
Medisol contributes
As Europe’s leading AED web shop, Medisol sees the impact of rapid and effective resuscitation firsthand. Prevention and early recognition of heart problems are just as essential. That’s why the team is taking part in Dress Red Day: to inspire customers, partners, and society at large to reflect on heart health.
Today, Medisol’s office is a sea of red. Employees are sharing photos on social media and encouraging others to take action as well, because awareness starts with visibility.
